He also completed the Chicago Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy, Chicago Police Citizen’s Academy, and various other programs in Economic Development around the United States.
Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Nick has worked with the 63rd Street Growth Commission for the past three years, assisting hundreds of Southwest Chicago’s small- and mid-sized businesses achieve their goals. His commitment to opening new avenues of communication and partnership channels brings significant value to the southwest Chicago business community.

Caitlin Gath

Caitlin Gath is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned degrees in Journalism & Mass Communication, as well as Spanish. Caitlin’s experience working for the university’s daily newspaper, The Daily Cardinal, allowed her to develop her communication skills while working with city officials on a daily basis. Caitlin also played an integral role in developing a nonprofit website—Madison Commons — dedicated to serving the Madison community on a micro level.

Caitlin’s work with Madison Commons and the Dane County Humane Society, Madison’s local animal shelter, introduced Caitlin to the world of nonprofits, including Greater Southwest Development Corporation.

Many of Caitlin’s family members grew up on the South side of Chicago and she is excited to give back to the community. In this capacity, Caitlin hopes to contribute to the 63rd Street Growth Commission by helping to plan events, create marketing materials, write newsletters, arrange workshops and serve as a vital link between the community and the 63rd Street Growth Commission.

Caitlin is a self-professed dog fanatic, and spends much of her free time doting on her beloved pooch, Frasier. He enjoys long walks around the neighborhood, sneaking food from the counter when no one is looking and hogging the bed at night.
